Hüseyin Alhas
Hüseyin Alhas is a Turkish poet, academic, and translator. His main fields of research include English Romanticism, Turkish Romanticism, literary topos in Lycia, heroic poetry in world literature, and the metamorphosis of epic heroes in seventeenth-century England, with a specific focus on the epics penned by William Davenant and John Milton.
He currently works on a project aimed at preserving the fading memory of Anatolian culture, which is deeply characterised by oral traditions. He is conducting interviews with elderly people and documenting their tales in an effort to capture the essence of this unique culture before it is lost to time.
